A Grade post 183 against Rovers

Played across two weekends, Yarrawonga Mulwala won the toss and elected to bat at the W J Findlay Oval in Wangaratta and scored 183 off 71 overs.

The YMCC bowled one over to close out the days play to have RUB at 1 for 6 in reply.

The Yarrawonga Mulwala innings was built around a superb 90 runs from Harry Wheeler, 20 runs from Zac Fraser and a run a ball 18 not out from Matt McCabe.

The YMCC were in early trouble when Corey McIntosh was dismissed in the first over without a score on the board.

While Wheeler was the mainstay, wickets fell around him. There were two partnerships of 33 runs and an eight-wicket partnership of 34 that enabled Wheeler to get to 90 before he was the second last wicket to fall.

Wheeler finished with 90 runs from 170 balls with seven boundaries.

The YMCC were dismissed for 183 after 70.3 overs and had one over to bowl finishing with a key wicket to see Rovers United Bruck at 1 for 6 heading into next week’s final day of home and away cricket before finals.
